New Bern Parks and Recreation is holding a public input meeting on Monday, March 12th to review the proposed Master Plan for Martin Marietta Park. We had 18 people to show up for the event and 6 people went for a paddle. Thanks to Cal Hansen for bring the rescue boat and first mate Ken Court. Luckily no one fell in and all paddlers returned to shore safely. There was way to much food at the paddle but most of it was eaten by the paddlers and the non-paddlers alike. Well the weather gods have decided on a frigid New Year’s Day for us in eastern NC. The paddle and social will go on, and I’m putting an emphasis on the social aspect!
