New Years Day Paddle 2018

We had 18 people to show up for the event and 6 people went for a paddle. Thanks to Cal Hansen for bring the rescue boat and first mate Ken Court.  Luckily no one fell in and all paddlers returned to shore safely.  There was way to much food at the paddle but most of it was eaten by the paddlers and the non-paddlers alike.  Contributed by Bill Sadler

Well the weather gods have decided on a frigid New Year’s Day for us in eastern NC.  The paddle and social will go on, and I’m putting an emphasis on the social aspect!  Subfreezing temps and 12 mph winds are predicted.  PLEASE consider your paddling ability before you pack up your kayaks and head out on the water.  Attached find some very useful information that everyone should read carefully before paddling on such a day.  Don’t take this lightly, it can be very dangerous.  There will…
