We’ll meet at 10AM (70 and partly cloudy) at the Wildlife Ramp at the end Midyette Street and then we’ll drive to Pierce Creek (3.5 miles to launch). An easy paddle up into the smaller streams maybe 2 hours long. Maybe the stream where we saw the bear last year. We didn’t make it last week and 14 of us went up Kershaw Creek instead. Camping Trip to Bear Island (Hammocks Beach State Park) on Friday, November 11th the group (Campers and Day Paddlers) will leave the park’s kayak/canoe put-in at 10:00 AM to paddle over to the island. Click on Paddle Description for a detailed set of instructions.

The beginner kayak class has 4 consecutive meetings. Each Thursday beginning April 7th and ending April 28th. This series of four classes is designed to introduce the beginner or those interested in getting a more solid foundation into the various skills and equipment needed to safely participate in kayaking.
