Club’s Objective
To Have Fun — Lots of Fun —
We will organize trips throughout the year with veteran members leading on a volunteer basis. An important goal of the Twin Rivers Paddle Club is to offer members the opportunity to improve their paddling skills with club sponsored clinics for novice to experienced paddlers. While doing this we maintain the focus of promoting paddle sports in New Bern and Craven County to make the area a paddle sports destination. The Twin Rivers Paddle Club emphasizes safety and contributes to the conservation of the waters we enjoy. If you live in the area and have an interest in paddling we invite you to join us. Dues are just $12.00 per year due in January. Membership dues help to support the club activities, website, and conservation efforts.
Our Mission:
Our main purpose is to bring together people interested in paddling in the New Bern and Craven County area and to promote paddle sports in the region while maintaining the safe and responsible use of navigable waters.
Our purpose is to:
- Encourage exploration of recreational waterways in Craven County and the surrounding area.
- Encourage the preservation of our waterways.
- Promote enjoyment and appreciation of the wilderness while participating and promoting paddle sports.
- Promote safety and proficiency in paddling.
- Demonstrate and publish developments in all aspects of paddling.
Anyone is welcome to join the Club. Regardless of your paddling interest, ability, or experience the club provides the chance to meet others with a common interest and skill.
We believe our club has a beneficial impact on the quality of local resident life, water conservation, and water sports in general. Our Club is a group that promotes paddle sports in the region and provides a support group for the county in matters of canoeing and kayaking. In addition, our Club promotes increased use of park and recreation facilities. The Club shows our sponsor, The Craven County Parks and Recreation Department, is truly dedicated to promoting the sport of paddling for county residents
